Music & Pedagogy
Music is an active practice that shapes how I approach discipline, collaboration, and craft.
Trained at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, I developed a foundation in classical and roots-based traditions that informs my dynamic approach to performance and instruction. Over two decades, I have navigated the intersection of technical mastery and stylistic versatility — from the rigors of conservatory performance to the spontaneous traditions of folk, country, and fingerstyle music.
My experience in live performance, tour management, and recording enriches my perspective as an educator. I bring a cross-genre, student-centered approach that connects the technical requirements of the instrument to the broader world of professional music.
